Will Optimus U1 be the LG’s 1st Ice Cream Sandwich Based Smartphone?

The guys over GSMArena have suggested few photos of an upcoming LG Optimus series smartphone, the LG Optimus U1 which is yet to be official. Reportedly the upcoming LG Optimus U1 will be the company’s first Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based smartphone. What we’ve seen in the image, it looks like a Korean smartphone by judging its design. For your kind information, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich was unveiled last month and is set to first come with the Galaxy Nexus this month.

It’s not yet clear whether the LG Optimus U1 will ship pre-installed with Ice Cream Sandwich or will get updated later on. But the upcoming Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone will probably bring a large 4-inches plus touchscreen display. It’s expected to come with both front facing and a rear-facing camera with LED flash. In addition, it’ll have a 3.5mm audio jack and more expected high-end features but there are no further details on LG Optimus U1 smartphone at moment.

We can say LG will surely be among the first handset makers to announce its Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, the upcoming LG Optimus U1 at 2012 CES trade fair (January 10-13). According to our information, the upcoming Optimus U1 will release sometime next year and will probably target South Korean market initially.
