Four new Android Smartphones Landed India

Hey Indians, here is good news for you all (including me). There are four new Android powered smartphones have been reached stores (including online retailers) in India today. These four smartphones are from Samsung and Huawei brands. Samsung has released a couple of smartphones called the Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) and Galaxy Pocket (GT-S5300), while Huawei has launched Huawei Honor and Ideos X5 Pro. All these four smartphones are running on Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but other features and prices will differ from each other.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance-

It’s a mid-range smartphone, which was announced this January. It brings a 4.0-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) Super AMOLED capacitive display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It’s powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core processor and run on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system with Samsung TouchWiz User Interface. The smartphone will pack a 5 megapixels auto focus rear camera with LED flash as well as 1.3 megapixels secondary camera for video calls. Furthermore, it will have a 3.5mm audio Jack, stereo FM Radio with RDS, and connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v 3.0, A-GPS, and so on. The Galaxy S Advance will come built with 768MB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expandable through a microSD card up to 32GB. It’s boasted by a 1,500mAh battery. It measures just 123.2 x 63 x 9.7 mm and weigh about 120 grams. You can now purchase this Galaxy smartphone for Rs. 26,900/- (MRP).

Samsung Galaxy Pocket-

It’s a budget friendly yet features loaded smartphone, which was announced last month. The new Galaxy Pocket is pocket friendly in both sense; it’s compact and affordable. It features a 2.8-inch touch screen display and packs a 2 megapixels fixed focus camera. It also runs on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and support Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, but powered by an 832MHz processor. It come onboard memory of 3GB, but you can expand it up to 32GB via MicroSD cards. The smartphone boasts a 1200 mAh battery, measures 103.7 x 57.5 x 12 mm, and weighs about 97 grams. Other needy features are; stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm audio Jack, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v 3.0, A-GPS navigations, and much more. This is an affordable smartphone having a price tag of Rs. 8,150/- (MRP).

Huawei Honor-

This is a nice looking smartphone, which went on sale online earlier this month. It has a 4-inch (854 x 480 pixels) LCD capacitive touchscreen display and packs an 8 MP auto-focus camera with 720p HD video recording at 30 fps as well as a 0.3MP VGA front facing camera for video chart. It’s currently running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS but will be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) along with an improved 1900mAh battery later on. It’s powered by a powerful 1.4GHz processor and comes built with 512MB RAM, 4GB eMMC, and 1.5GB internal memory, which can be expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD cards. As per its connectivity options, the smartphone will have 3G (HSDPA up to 14 Mbps; HSUPA up to 5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, micro USB 2.0, A-GPS navigation and so on.

This new smartphone will be available over leading retailers of India like Reliance Digital, Croma, as well as through few popular online channels such as; Flipkart, Tradus, Letsbuy, along with multi brand outlets across the country. The Huawei Honor is currently available to purchase in India for a market retail price of Rs. 22,999/-, but can go for a best buy as low as Rs. 19,990/-.

Huawei Ideos X5 Pro-

According to its specifications, the Ideos X5 Pro is slightly seems as an improved version of the Ideos X5, which was released in June 2011. It brings a 3.8-inch (800×480 pixels) TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It’s powered by a 1GHz processor, but paired with the same 512MB RAM, 4GB eMMC, 1.5GB onboard memory, and support up to 32GB MicroSD card for memory expandable. It spots a lower end 5MP camera with flash as compare to the Honor but still capable to capture 720p HD videos. Its connectivity options are same as the Huawei Honor and powered by a 1500mAh battery. Interestingly the smartphone comes with 16GB Cloud space to store your favorite images, music, etc. Even more it also features SRS WOW HD Audio effect. The Huawei Ideos X5 Pro is also available through the same stores and online retailers but comes at a MRP of Rs. 15,499/-, while flipkart.com is offering it for just Rs. 13,800/-.

So, what you decide to go for? If you’re looking to buy an affordable smartphone then you should go for Galaxy Pocket or Ideos X5 Pro, but if the price is not a matter then you should prefer the Huawei Honor or the Galaxy S Advance. It’ll be a great deal if you’ll go for any of them, though there are no many specs different in all these Android smartphones. Well, I’ll personally prefer “Huawei Honor” the most, and you?
