> Organize your Friend Lists:

Looking at Google+ Circles concept, facebook has also developed an improved Friend Lists feature in September 2011 that allows users to effectively customize their friends into desired categories like; friends, Family, Colleagues, public, etc. So, you’ll be now able to put any new friends into your desired category, as a result the right person will get the right update.

But for your kind information, it you’re putting a friend into two categories for example “Colleagues” and “Family” then your privacy setting will be tough for that person. Let you’ve something to share with your family but the question is can that person see your update who is in two categories? The answer will be no, because he/she has to follow the privacy setting of “Colleagues” list. > Manage Friend Requests Setting:

But the question is how you’ll do this? To do this setting just go to your privacy settings page and hit on ‘Edit Settings’ on the right side of ‘How You Connect’. If you’re at there, then just change the setting from ‘Everyone’ to either ‘Friends of Friends’ or only ‘Friends’ and finally you done to avoid those unwanted friend requests.

> Disable from Public Search Engines:

Do you want your facebook account to be caught by several search engines like Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc, if no then this setting will meant a lot. This is another better setting for them who like to remove their account from the Facebook Search directory. As a result your facebook account won’t be found by any search engines when someone searches you by name.

If you want to disable your facebook user account from these search engines on the web, then just go to the same privacy settings page like previously and click on ‘Edit Settings’ option just after the ‘Ads, Apps and Websites’, then again hit on the ‘Edit Settings’ option alongside the “Public search”, which is located just before “Ads”. You’ll see a page showing an option to “Enable public search”, click on that and finally you’re disable from public search engines.

> Wall Posts Settings:

Make sure what you’re going to share on your wall. Is it so confidential that you don’t let anyone to see what is on your wall or even you’re not just able to control what your friends are writing on your wall? For example, few are in a tendency to write something on your wall what you don’t want others to see, like problems in your relationship, financial condition, secret documents, etc. If you’re going through problems like these, then here is great news for you.

For this you need to take help of your privacy settings page once again. So go to your privacy settings page and click on ‘Edit Settings’ option just after ‘Timeline and Tagging’. There are many preferred options to tight your wall posts settings including ‘Who can post on your timeline’, ‘Who can see what others post on your timeline’, ‘Who can see posts you’ve been tagged in on your timeline’ etc. So just change your wall posts settings according to your needs.

> Instant Personalized Settings:

There are many companies who are partnered with facebook to provide us great personalized experiences but we know few of them. Facebook allows his partners to only access public information like your name and profile picture, or anything you’ve made public. There are no much to worry when these partners are getting access to your account. Even you’ll see a notification message with an option to disable the personalized experience when you first arrive one of these sites.

There you’ll see ‘Edit Settings’ option just after ‘Ads, Apps and Websites’ hit on that, and then you can find another ‘Edit Settings’ option aside ‘Instant personalization’ just click on that. Finally you go to the required page and here you need to uncheck the ‘Enable instant personalization on partner websites’ option to get your way clear.

> Restrict Info to be Accessible with Friends:

There is certain information which we don’t like to share with our friends even sometimes I also do the same. Sometime people on Facebook are able to see our info which is brought to them when they use apps. Though this is only meant to make our facebook experience better and more social. But if you want to restrict some information which you don’t like to show people on facebook, then the below settings can control your information to be share with others when they use apps, games and websites.

To control your information to be accessed by your friends, you just need to go to the privacy settings page once again then click on the ‘Edit Settings’ option aside ‘Ads, Apps and Websites’ then choose ‘Edit Settings’ option aging just after the ‘How people bring info to apps they use’ and you’ll see a list of information categories which you want to control. So just check or uncheck these info categories to control according to you.
