Yes, it was a quite a good idea to have a Facebook phone at first but remain as an unsettled matter as Facebook had not given the best of its spirits at the time. We have also come across the other HTC Smartphones as the Facebook devices which are called as the HTC’s ChaCha and Salsa which were flaunted to be the Facebook phones at the time they got announced and its has become quite some time ago, but in fact those devices never took off. As you must have read above that the whispers coming to our ears says that this upcoming FB Smartphone is to get dropped sometime in the middle of 2013, and it is miles away from the original Q3 release this year.

All things goes good up to this but till now there has been no announcement of the Facebook phone yet declared as official, either announced by the social network giant Facebook or HTC. So, what can we do from here onwards is just a guess at this point in time. What are your views should it run! It seems that this Smartphone will probably be a heavily modified version of the Android OS. Together with this, there is also something new which has come as whispers that this upcoming handset will be configured with the Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform.

The Facebook phone will really be a vital one for the future of both HTC as well as Facebook as more than half of the keen Facebookers use to access the from their phones itself that brings no promotion revenues. And on the other hand if we are talking about HTC, then it has experienced declining profits for about three quarters consecutively and it just needs a perfect hit badly in the Smartphones market. It is head that HTC has lost for 43 percent of its market value this current year. Facebook will put out its first ever quarterly results after its IPO later today.
