BlackBerry (earlier Research in Motion (RIM)) has recently announced its new QWERTY smartphone equipped with state-of-the-art BlackBerry 10 operating system. The smartphone is BlackBerry Q10, which not only features a QWERTY keyboard but also sports a touchscreen. Being a BlackBerry smartphone, the Q10 has some remarkable features and specifications, which we will be discussing later. As of now, we don’t have any information about its price but we do know that the smartphone would be available from the month of April globally.
The smartphone features a 3.1 inch Super AMOLED display at 356 PPI with a screen resolution of 720 x 720 pixels and apparently it’s the largest screen ever on a BlackBerry QWERTY gadget. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and of course it runs on latest BlackBerry 10 operating system. There is an 8 Megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash & 5x digital zoom at rear supporting 1080p video recording and a 2 Megapixel camera at front supporting 720p video recording. The smartphone has total 35 keys on its QWERTY physical keyboard. On the back the smartphone features some kind of a unique material called glass-weave which the manufacturer claims to be lighter, thinner and stronger than plastic.
It comes with 16 GB of internal memory and 64 GB hot-swappable microSD card slot. The connectivity features of BlackBerry Q10 include 4G LTE / 3G HDPA+, Dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/aGPS, micro HDMI & NFC. The smartphone is 103 mm thick and weighs about 139 grams.
