After launching Huawei Ascend Mate with a massive 6.1-inch LTPS display at CES 2013, the Chinese consumer electronics corporation is again in the limelight not at CES but in India. Huawei’s yet another Android smartphone, named Huawei Ascend G600 is now available for preorder online at in India. So it’s now confirmed that the Chinese firm is about to launch the gadget officially and as per our assumption it might get launched in the 3rd week of this month. Check out its features and specifications below.

Huawei Ascend G600

By the looks of it, Huawei Ascend G600 looks attractive indeed. It has a 4.5 inch qHD display capacitive IPS multi-touch screen display having a resolution of 960×540 pixels (245ppi) with corning Gorilla glass and 16M colors. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 768 MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system not Jelly Bean, which seems to be a drawback.

However, it sports an 8 Megapixel camera at rear with dual LED flash and 0.3 Megapixel camera at front for video calling. According to FlipKart, it can record videos in 640×480 pixels resolution, which is another drawback of this gadget. It weighs 145 grams and it is 10.5 mm thick. It has an internal storage capacity up to 4 GB, which can be expanded up to 32 GB by means of microSD card. For connectivity in this smartphone you can find 3G, Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth, GPRS and GPS. It is powered by a 1930 mAh battery.

It is priced at Rs.14990/-, which seems suitable as per its specs. But as written above, it has few drawbacks; it runs on older version of Android OS, can’t even record HD videos, supports only one SIM. So somewhat it appears that the gadget might not be able to entice Indians, as India is a country where you can find gadgets even cheaper than the concerned smartphone have appealing specs and features, most importantly, the latest Android OS and HD video recording facility.

It is heard that it might give a touch competition to the Samsung Galaxy S Duos, Sony Xperia Miro and U, but in our opinion it can’t stand. If you are interested, you can check out further details about the smartphone on FlipKart.
