Samsung Galaxy Express Officially Unveiled, 4G LTE Capable

Samsung just come up with yet another Galaxy series’ smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Express. The 4G LTE capable smartphone has been launched without any official word about its availability and price. In addition to its 4G capability the smartphone has some decent features and specifications. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Express is specially designed for the young social explorers. The smartphone too has some features that were first seen on the Galaxy S III. Let’s find out more about the smartphone.

The smartphone sports a 4.5 inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system along with TouchWiz UI of Samsung. It has a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. There is a 5 Megapixel primary camera with Autofocus and LED Flash at rear and a 1.3 Megapixel camera at front. It comes with 8 GB internal memory and a microSD card slot using which you can attach an additional memory (up to 32 GB).

Its connectivity features include 2G (EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900), 3G (HSPA+: 850/900/2100), 4G (LTE 800/900/1800/2600), Bluetooth v 4.0, USB 2.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hot spot, Wi-Fi Direct, MHL, NFC, A-GPS & Glonass. It supports various sensors such as Accelerometer, Light, Digital Compass, Proximity & Gyro. Moreover, it supports a wide range of Codec such as MPEG4, H.263, H.264, VC-1, WMV7, WMV8, WMV9, VP8 and several video formats 3GP(MP4), WMV(ASF), AVI, FLV, MKV, WebM. It also supports Full HD(1080p) Playback & HD(720p) Recording. As far as its audio codec pack is concerned, it supports MP3, Vorbis(OGG), WMA, AAC, ACC+, eAAC+, AMR(NB,WB), MIDI, WAV, Flac. The smartphone comes with Music Player with SoundAlive feature. It measures a dimension of 132.2 x 69.1 x 9.3 mm and weighs about 139 grams.

Other content features and services include Samsung Apps, Samsung Kies /Samsung Kies Air, Samsung TouchWiz, Samsung Hub, Samsung ChatOn mobile communication service, Samsung AllShare Play, S Beam, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Latitude, Google Play Store, Google Play Books, Google Play Movies, Google Plus, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Places, Google Navigation, Google Downloads. It is powered by a standard Li-ion 2000 mAh battery.

Among the features mentioned above, the AllShare Play and S-Beam are the key ones. AllShare Play facilitates remote sharing across Samsung Smart TV and Samsung Smartphone platforms. On the other hand S-Beam allows you to simply touch and transfer contents.

As we’ve discussed earlier, Samsung hasn’t yet revealed any information about the availability and price of the smartphone. Though the details are yet to be revealed, we estimate the price of the smartphone to be around Rs.20000/- in proportion to its features and specifications.
