MetroPCS Announces 4G LTE Capable LG Spirit 4G, Costs $269

We don’t have many smartphones that support latest 4G LTE connectivity, do we? There are a few manufacturers offering 4G LTE capable smartphones like Samsung, Huawei, Sony and Apple to name a few. And recently Samsung has officially unveiled the all new 4G LTE smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Express. And within less than 24 hours here comes another 4G capable handset, the Spirit 4G from the well-known consumer electronics brand, LG. The manufacturer announced this smartphones in association with MetroPCS Communications, the renowned telecom operator. The smartphone is currently being traded at around $269.

LG Spirit 4G

With the reference to its reasonable cost, its features and specifications look quite decent. The LG Spirit 4G comes with a 4.5 inch (11.4 cm) with Corning Gorilla Glass. Regrettably, it runs on Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) rather than Jelly Bean. It has a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core processor, don’t have any information about its RAM, might bear a 512 MB of RAM in view of its price.

It comes with a 5 Megapixel camera with LED Flash, Cheese Shutter & Time Catch Shot at rear offering 1080p True-to-Life HD video recording. On the other hand, there is a 1.3 Megapixel camera at front for video calling/chatting. For storing data, the smartphone has up to 4 GB of internal memory and given an option to further extend its capability by attaching a microSD card (up to 32 GB). In addition to 4G LTE, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and so on. LG Spirit 4G is powered by a 2150 mAh battery reportedly offering talk time up to 4 hours and a standby time up to 200 hours.

Other features include QuickMemo, which facilitates on-screen notation to convey and share ideas and joyn of MetroPCS, which can be downloaded from Google Play and the @metro app store. The joyn app allows you to share content by means of enhanced services such as integrated IM/chat, WiFi and video calling.

With the features mentioned, the Smartphone will cost you around $269. To be frank, the genuine cost of the smartphone is $199 and the remaining will be returned in the form of a mail-in rebate.
