In 2013, we saw the launch of two best smartphones from two biggest mobile manufacturing giants; the Blackberry Z10 and the HTC One. The HTC One was code named as the HTC M7 and the company’s flagship phone for the year and it is all set to replace the HTC One X and HTC One X+. HTC hopes that the HTC One will be the device for them that will accelerate the rate of prosperity for them.

The Blackberry Z10 again is the best in its league and Blackberry has a lot of expectations from it as well. When the Z10 was launched, the Blackberry team said that this phone is a step ahead of the other smartphones in the market today. It is a class apart and the Blackberry Z10 has been living up to the expectations of the world up till now. It has received many accolades after its launch and Blackberry won’t be unhappy with the popularity of its new flagship phone.

With all these speculations going on in the market out there, comes another warrior. Yes it was a surprise for everybody when rumors about the launch of Samsung Galaxy S4 hit the streets. The Galaxy S3 was already a hit and sold over 40 million handsets worldwide. So the question of the day is whether the Galaxy S4 will be able to prove itself while the Z10 and HTC One are already riding the high tide? Let us find for ourselves.

The HTC One is one of its kind devices, featuring an amazing configuration of both hardware and software including a 1080P Display and a Quad-core processor. The HTS Sense UI will also be integrated with the Android OS that comes with it. The HTC Once features an Ultrapixel camera. The Ultrapixel camera features a 4-megapixel BSI sensor with an f/2.0 lens. HTC claims that the HTC One’s Ultrapixel camera lets in 300 percent more light than the average smartphone which translates into better low light performance. In addition to this the HTC One even has a wide angle front facing camera which has impressed the customers who frequently video chat or use Skype.

The HTC One comes with another new feature called the Boom sound. It is the dual front facing speakers which would produce louder sound with minimal distortion. The reason for this is an amplifier. Yes, the HTC One has an inbuilt amplifier. Beat that!!

As always, HTC comes with its own Sense UI, featuring the Sense 5.0 UI in the HTC One. It also comes bundled with software called BlinkFeed. Another brilliant feature of the HTC One is that it has Sense TV. It means you can use your HTC One as a universal remote controller and can easily flip through the channels in your TV.

The Blackberry Z10 has also proved successful for Blackberry so far. The all new Blackberry 10 operating system is very advanced and built on a different platform. It features a 16GB internal memory, 4.2” display, 8MP rear camera and 4G LTE ready. One important change that has been made in the Blackberry OS is the introduction of the Blackberry Hub. No matter on which page you are or which application you are using, just swipe and peek into your Blackberry Hub to see your notifications, feeds from social networks and mails. You don’t need to minimize or close any application or page for that. Just a little swipe is all it takes, and then there is the Blackberry Keyboard. It’s a touch keyboard which learns and adapts to your writing style and suggests words to make your typing faster. And if you make a typo, the keyboard will automatically recognize and adjust to make sure that you hit the right key.

One of the best features of the Blackberry Z10 is the Time shift mode in its camera. Time shift captures milliseconds before and after your click. So you can scroll back and forward on the dial to save the best moment and avoid the eye blinks or distorted facial expressions. It’s like moving in time. It also sports the Blackberry Balance. A feature to keep your office and personal life on separate pages! It seamlessly manages the browser history, the applications and calendar entries for the personal and office mode separately.

Now, the rumors about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have created a lot of buzz in the smartphone market. Will it be an eclipse for the other top smartphones? The HTC One and the Blackberry indeed have the top notch features and are among the best smartphones today. But do they lack something which the Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn’t? Let’s see what the Galaxy S4 has to offer.

To begin with a blast, the Galaxy S4 runs on a Quad-core 1.8 GHz cortex –A15 and Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor. That is devastatingly better than any other smartphone present. It then comes in the variants of 16/32/64 GB internal storage. It also supports USB on the go. Which means you can attach pen drives and other storage devices. It also houses a 13 Mega pixels rear camera and a 2.1 Mega pixels front facing camera.

The unique thing about the Galaxy S4 is the introduction of wireless charging. The HTC One and the Blackberry Z10 both do not feature wireless charging. The Galaxy S4 having this charging means it would also have a removable back cover and a removable battery.

The next thing about the Galaxy S4 is the presence of a micro SD slot. It also comes in variant like 16/32/64 GB like the Blackberry Z10 and the HTC One. But it also has a slot for a 64 GB micro SD card.

So what is it going to be? The HTC One and the Blackberry Z10 will keep ruling the smartphone market? Or maybe the spell will be broken by the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is rumored to be launched on the 14th of March. We just need to keep our excitement till the final date, when Galaxy S IV will launch and see the effect of the launch of Galaxy S4 with all its new features and the new Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset. No doubt the play is going to be more interesting in coming days.
