Lava launches two entry level smartphones: 3G 356 and 3G 402

Who doesn’t need a smartphone these days? From children to elderly people, everybody can be seen with a smartphone in their hands. And why not when staying connected, sharing stuff and communicating has become so much easier with the advent of smartphones. Likewise the competition in the smartphone market is also so very tough. Players work day and night to come up with new models that will take them ahead in the competition. And not only that. The new models also have to be appealing to the customer. It should be affordable because not everyone can buy a high end top model handset. There are many players who focus primarily on this budget level segment and Lava is one of them. Lava’s recent launches are two entry level smartphones named the 3G 356 and the 3G 402. The 3G 356 comes with a price tag of Rs. 4, 499 and the 3G 402 comes with a price tag of Rs. 5, 499.

Let’s take a look at the features of the two new smartphones.

3g 356 lava

The Lava 3G 356 features a 3.5 inch HVGA display with a resolution of 480×320 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual core MediaTek Cortex A7 processor. On the rear it houses a 1l3 mega pixels camera and a VGA camera on the front. It also houses a 1500mAh battery which Lava claims will deliver a talktime of 5 hours and a standby time of 200 hours on a single charge. It also features a proximity sensor.

3g 402 lava

The Lava 3G 402 is a higher version of the 3G 356. The Lava 3G 402 features a 4 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek Cortex A7 processor. On the rear it houses a 3 mega pixel camera and the front facing camera is of 1.3 mega pixels. Like the 3G 356, the Lava 3G 402 also houses a 1500 mAh battery on the back.

There are some specifications that are common to both the handsets. Both the Lava 3G 356 and the Lava 402 run on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The connectivity options in both the smartphones are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G. Both the devices feature 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of inbuilt memory which can be easily expanded upto 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The Lava 3G 356 is available in Grey, white and Black colour while the Lava 3G 402 is available in White, Grey and Red colours.
